Dr. Randy Oehmke is a 1990 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. After graduation, Dr. Oehmke practiced for 3 years in Rockville Maryland before coming back to his home state of Kansas.
Dr. Cassie Rizzo (right) is a 2009 graduate from Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and has worked in the veterinary field for 10 yrs. She has 2 pugs named Elly and Gertie. She is passionate about learning as much as she can about the veterinary field and to not only care for animals but give them back the unconditional love that they give us. When Cassie is not at work, she enjoys playing with her girls (dogs), scuba diving, going to the lake, yard work and watching Nascar. She is a member of the KVMA, AAHA, and the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association.
Lisa is the administrator at ACVH. She has a pit bull mix named Kenda and a Siamese cat named Simone.
Carol has been grooming for ACVH since 1995. Carol and her husband Robert have pomeranians. When she is not working at ACVH she enjoys four wheeling, going to the drag strip, camping and boating.
Shelby is one of the groomer at ACVH. She has a passion dobermans. Shelby enjoys raising her kids, showing her dogs in confirmation and working in the garden. She enjoys working at ACVH because of the people, pets and the challenge of being creative in the grooming field.
Gina is a customer service representative. Gina and her husband Jim enjoy spending time with their 4 children and 12 grandchildren. Gina has 1 miniature dachsund dog named Schnitzel and 1 cat named Mikki. What she enjoys the most about her job is getting to interact with all of the animals. When she is not at work she likes to see movies and work out.
Trudy is a registered veterinary technician from Columbus State. Trudy has been at ACVH since 1991. Trudy and her husband Bruce, have 2 golden retrievers, 3 cats and a bearded dragon.
Sharman is a technician, OSHA safety officer and provides grief support here at ACVH. Sharman comes to us from the medical field with over 25 years experience as a RN. She has been with ACVH since 1993. She belongs to the Kansas Humane Society, Humane Society of the United States, National Wildlife Federation and the Sedgwick County Zoo. Sharman loves working with the animals and considers herself very fortunate that she has been allowed to change careers and use her nursing skills here at ACVH. Sharman and her husband Bill, a lab mix named Kirby, a terrier mix named Trixie, a toy rat terrier named Laddin and a tortoise named Cecilia. Sharman likes to cook and collects old cereal boxes.
Megan is a veterinary technician here at ACVH. She is a graduate of Iowa State College, College of Veterinary Medicine and has 13 yrs experience in the veterinary field. She has 2 dogs, Cooper and Tucker, 2 cats named Herman and Marvin and 2 ferrets named Linus and Simon Felix. She loves to learn new things and enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, target shooting, exercising and running. Megan likes working in the veterinary field because she enjoys interacting with clients and their pets as well as seeing something different everyday come into the clinic. She is also responsible for food ordering, food inventory and dentistry.
Kathi is a customer service representative. She has many years of experience in customer service. She has 2 chihuahuas named Hannah and Rowdy. When she is not at work, she enjoys music, art and spending time with her family and friends.
Shelby is our bather, patient care and cleaner. She has been worked in the grooming field for many years. She 2 dogs, Newman is a standard poodle and Rosie is a German shepherd. She ha 2 cats Murphy and fossil, a snake Arthur, a bird Peaches and 5 llamas. Shelby is very active with her brother who likes to train dogs and participate in Special Olympics. She likes to read, collect rocks and gems and feels it is important to make a difference in the lives of animals.
Ashley is a veterinary technician at ACVH. She is a graduate of Heritage College and did her internship at our clinic. She has 2 cats named Squeaki and Blue. When Ashley is not here at the clinic, she enjoys music, making costumes, playing the piano, singing and reading. Ashley loves animals an is intrigued by the veterinary science behind a diagnosis. She likes to figure out how and why symptoms occur the way they do.
Amanda is a customer service representative. She has 4 sons named Tre', Deacon, Levi and Brayden, a boxer/pit mix named Sarge and a cat named Grimm. She has attended both Barton and Garden City Community Colleges and is involved in the Boy Scouts of America. She is passionate about Animal Advocacy, and the awareness of Domestic Violence. She likes to spend her time with her boys, watching scary movies, fishing and exploring nature. She loves working with other people who are passionate about the health and well being of all animals and enjoys seeing the unique species that come into the clinic.
